Introduction
It's been observed
that schools are
facing an array of
complex challenges
from diverse
population of
students to
integrating new
approaches teaching,
meeting rigorous
academic standards
and goals. To meet
these challenges
educational
institutions work
more closely with
teachers because
teachers' growth is
directly related to
the students'
growth.
The main aim of
Yaqeen Education
Foundation (YEF) is
to provide an
on-going support to
the teachers to grow
personally and
professionally. As
Barth (1991) says,
"Probably nothing
within a school has
more impact on
students in terms of
skills development,
self-confidence, or
classroom behavior
than the personal
and professional
growth of their
teachers" The main
purpose of any
professional
organization is to
revisit and make
changes according to
the need and
circumstances of
learning
environment.
English language is
playing very
imperative role for
imparting education.
As Crystal (1997),
describes "Most of
the scientific,
technological and
academic information
in the world is
expressed in
English". English
has now become the
dominating language
throughout the world
and has vital means
of communication for
million of people
around the world.
Therefore, English,
as second language
is the best way to
communicate
information
conveniently to
others. Keeping in
mind the importance
of English language
the YEF has planned
to arrange English
Language Improvement
Programme (ELIP).
YEF has always been
in favor of
enhancing new
technologies and
this time also YEF
is going to
introduce "language
software".
One of the
challenging tasks is
to find out the
effective software
which can help
teachers and
students to improve
English language.
This task has been
given to deputy
director of creative
department. Which is
done effectively by
the team, teachers
training department
has taken the
responsibility to
conduct a pilot
project to apply
this software and
enhance teachers'
language skills. ELIP sessions will
focus four language
skills i.e. reading,
writing, listening
and speaking.

Participants will be
given chance to
express the ideas
and feeling without
any hesitation.
Instructional
Strategies
Teaching effectively
and purposefully
needs some
strategies in which
the learners can
learn and understand
very easily.
Therefore, the
course is planned,
based on different
instructional
strategies like
brainstorming,
discussion,
debating,
presentation,
problem solving,
role-play,
demonstration and
group investigation.
Course
Assessment Criteria
Participants are
expected to
participate in
classroom
activities. They are
encouraged to take
initiative and share
their experiences
for language
learning. The
participants will be
observed by
different ways such
as, classroom
participation,
taking part in
discussion, and
presentation etc.
The participants

short paragraph to
write and for a pair

Presentation and

Program
Evaluation
It is true that
success of the
programme is based
on set objectives,
teaching methods and
evaluation
practices, both have
equal importance and
value in achieving
the targeted goals.
Course evaluation
guides to bring
changes and
innovative ideas for
future improvement.
By the end of the
course participants
will be provided
opportunities to
"Comment" freely in
writing about the
strengths and
weaknesses of
different sessions
and will recommend
meaningful
suggestions.
This English
language course is
planned to provide
creative ways to
improve their
teaching and take
initiative to bring
change in their
classroom practice
and explore better
and more efficient
ways of developing
students' language
skills. According to
Joyce and Showers
(1982:59) that
"Experimentation is
necessary for
teachers to fit the
new practices too
their unique
classroom
condition".
Teachers will be
able to implement it
in their daily life
and students will
take benefits out of
it.
