b) Co- curricular activities
Co-curricular activities are part and parcel of any educational institution. At 'Yaqeen' we try to provide and create such opportunities which help the students develop their potential and innate qualities. Such activities are important for confidence building and personality development.

Declamation CONTEST;-

• Debates, Essay writing and Quiz Competition, Urdu and English Spellathon. Qirat and Naat Competitions are held, periodically.

• Practical exercises are included for reinforcement of theoretic knowledge.

• For religious and moral teaching periodical' Dars' gatherings are arranged.

• For social grooming, Eid festivities, excursions and parties are organized.

• All religious and historical national days are celebrated in a befitting manner.

• The student's council comprises Prefects and Monitors.

• It works as a junior discipline committee, of the school under the supervision of a teacher, designated as Chief Prefect. A team of students' works as Prefects are nominated by a committee of teachers. These Prefects help the teachers to ensure that rules and regulations of the school are not violated. These are chosen term-wise.

• The Class Monitors are appointed on rotation basis by the class teachers.

• The Head Girl is elected by the students, after balloting, by the students.

e) Academic Calendar

The School Academic Session commences on 1st. August and concludes at the end of July each year. It is divided into two terms. The Academic Session for Matric (S.S.C Examination) for 2008-2009 may be from April to March, if decided by the Education Department, Govt. of Sindh.

First Term              August to December
Second Term          January to May.

Evaluation and Examinations;-

• Monthly by monthly Assessment Test

• Mid Term Examination

• Final Examination as conducted by the University of Cambridge under British Council and Board of Secondary Education, Karachi.
